Neuropsychotherapy
What is Neuropsychotherapy?
Neuropsychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that combines psychotherapy with neurobiology. The approach treats concerns by looking at connections between the brain, the body, experiences, and the environment. This is not a “separate” therapy but rather something that is incorporated into all parts of therapy.
Our brains are shaped by experiences such as: the family we were born into, how we were cared for, traumas we experienced, and chronic stress. Combined with information about your body, like your nervous system and emotion management, we can figure out a personalized approach to your healing journey. We have some tools that can be used to help rewire your brain, change your thinking patterns, and support your emotions so you can manage them better.
Neuropsychotherapy works great for past trauma, depression, and anxiety. It can also help with problems related to thinking, expressing emotions, or relationship difficulties.
Jenny Levart, LPC
In August 2023, I began to have a passion to understand the brain more and to understand how it impacts the struggles we have. This new understanding has helped immensely with coming up with practical tools that are associated with sustainable brain change in the areas of anxiety, trauma and depression. We don’t just have to focus on managing symptoms, we can heal the brain. In February 2024, I completed my certification in Neuropsychotherapy and I’ve loved using it to help people ever since.
All my sessions are held ONLINE! This allows you to connect with me from anywhere in Arkansas, even in an ugly t-shirt in your living room. You won’t need to travel to my office or sit in traffic- which saves you time. Plus, research shows it’s just as helpful as face-to-face therapy. I’ll send you a link with your text reminder and you can use your favorite device from the comfort of your home, office, or car.
